Forging Ahead: MI2's Comprehensive Branding Strategy for Elevating the Kentucky Metals Industry

The Branding Strategy Group, an integral part of MI2, is looking ahead to a series of projects and initiatives scheduled for this year. MI2’s Branding Strategy Group is dedicated to enhancing the recognition and prominence of the Kentucky metals industry both within the state and beyond its borders.Through targeted communication efforts, MI2 aims to highlight innovative practices within the Kentucky metals industry and underscore collaborative efforts between the ecosystem partners—telling the story of how the industry has come together to make Kentucky the destination for metals innovation. The goal is ultimately for people to think of Kentucky when they think of metals in the U.S., and for people to think of metals as a key industry when they think of Kentucky.Furthermore, MI2 is committed to hosting the highly anticipated MI2 Annual Conference in 2024, focused on "The Workforce of the Future" for the Kentucky metals ecosystem. Building on the success of the previous year's theme centered around "The Factory of the Future," the 2024 conference will be the culmination of the organization’s second year, serving as a platform for stakeholders to delve into pertinent discussions surrounding the evolving landscape of the workforce in the metals industry.The Branding Strategy Group will actively be involved in creating and disseminating additional materials to raise awareness about the Kentucky Metals Industry as well. Leveraging insights gathered from audience personas, pilot communication programs, and existing resources, the group will share a resource guide that will benefit companies within the Kentucky metals sector, aiming to provide valuable information and guidance for their operations; promote the new Kentucky Metals Industry Guide produced in partnership with the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development; and maintain a steady stream of MI2 communications.Furthermore, Branding is working in tandem with the Talent and Workforce Strategy Group to bolster awareness of the metals job market, fostering connections between various stakeholders to facilitate the growth and development of a skilled workforce in the industry.
