On the Horizon
- MI2 CEO Vijay Kamineni and MI2 Board Chair Matt Bedingfield will be meeting with MI2 member leaders in the Kentucky steel industry on March 17th to discuss particular opportunities and challenges for steel in the state.
- Representatives from Hitachi will be visiting Kentucky from March 20-22 with a goal to offer support and find ways to engage and invest in the Kentucky metals ecosystem. If any of our member companies and strategic partners have other suppliers that MI2 should talk with about ways they can engage with MI2 initiatives, please reach out to our team.
- On March 29th, Greater Louisville Inc. will host a meeting of its Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics Fellows. As mentioned in this month's "News from the Industry" elsewhere in this newsletter, MI2 CEO Vijay Kamineni is part of the inaugural class of this program.
- On March 29th, MI2 Talent and Workforce Strategy Group Head Chris Boggs will represent MI2 as part of the UK Online Roundtable. The group is discussing how to expand the UK Online to best accommodate the workforce training, re-skilling, and up-skilling needs for businesses in the state. The meeting will provide a chance for UK Online to share a business support plan with industry leaders, informed by an initial meeting in which MI2 participated in February.
