MI2 Welcomes New Project Manager, Hemanth Vajje

The Metals Innovation Initiative (MI2) recently hired a full-time Project Manager. Meet Hemanth Vajje! Hemanth brings expertise and enthusiasm to the Technology Innovation and Talent & Workforce strategy groups for MI2. His professional experience spans many industries, including healthcare, education, F&B, IT consulting, manufacturing, and finance.

Hemanth's resume reads like a roadmap through the technological landscape. He is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional, a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master, a ServiceNow certified Administrator, a Microsoft Certified SQL programmer, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate. Recently venturing into Data Science and Analytics, Hemanth embodies the spirit of continuous learning and adaptation to meet the market's evolving needs.

As MI2’s newly appointed Project Manager, Hemanth takes pride in orchestrating and delivering complex projects with precision. He has proven adept in navigating challenges, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and driving projects to successful completion.

One of Hemanth's key responsibilities is managing projects for MI2’s new Technology Innovation strategic focus area, working closely with Chris Conrardy. The new initiative comes at a crucial juncture for the metals industry as it faces the convergence of global megatrends, challenging metals manufacturers to innovate more rapidly than ever. To address these challenges, MI2’s Technology Innovation Strategy Group aims to implement a precompetitive technology screening and evaluation process. In addition to his technical prowess, Hemanth brings a unique perspective to the team, fueled by his diverse interests in food, travel, and movies. Having explored 49 out of 50 states in the US as well as travel in 11 other countries, Hemanth draws inspiration from various cultures, infusing creativity and innovative thinking into his professional endeavors.

Hemanth has been immersing himself in understanding MI2's goals, policies, and culture.
