KY Industry Conference Announcement

MI2 among First Round of US DOE Community Energy Innovation Prize Winners
On March 26th, the U.S. Department of Energy announced 23 teams who won the CONCEPT Phase of the American-Made Community Energy Innovation Prize. MI2 is among those winners. The Community Energy Innovation Prize supports capacity building, innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development related to clean energy and climate for disadvantaged communities. More informing will be forthcoming.

MI2 Participates in KY-MEP Supply Chain Expo in Murray
On Wednesday, March 13th, MI2 Director of Member Engagement Nick Noble joined the Kentucky Manufacturing Extension Partnership (KY-MEP) for a regional Supply Chain Expo in Murray at Curris Center on the Murray State University (MSU) campus. KY-MEP co-hosted the event with the School of Engineering at Murray State and Haas HFO-Midwest. We enjoyed sharing a bit about MI2's work to make Kentucky the destination for metals innovation and meeting some new metals companies on the western side of the state!

MI2 Brings the Metals Industry to Oldham Co. Science Fair
MI2 hosted a table on March 16th at the first Oldham County Public Library Science Fair. This event is to bring in middle and high school students to highlight STEM. The goal of the library, and this event, is to connect the awareness of STEM subjects with employers and careers. We were proud to represent career opportunities in the metals industry as part of this event.

MI2 Held Second Grants and Funding Webinar Hosted by BDO
Thank you to BDO for hosting our Grants and Funding webinar this week! Webinar attendees unlocked the potential for their Kentucky manufacturing companies with insights into federal and state credits and incentives. The webinar delved into the Kentucky Business Investment (KBI) Program—a spotlight initiative offering substantial benefits for Kentucky metals companies. Check out the webinar and presentation.
