Vijay Kamineni is Chief Innovation Officer of MI2 and Founding Partner of the strategy firm Innovation Engine. He was founding CEO of MI2 before taking this new role in early 2025. Additionally, until early 2025, Vijay was with MI2 member Logan Aluminum, where he served as Chief Innovation and Technology Leader with the company’s Strategic Business Management Unit. Vijay started working in Kentucky’s metals industry when he joined Logan Aluminum in February 2009, previously serving as Business Transformation Leader and Development Team Leader. He played visionary and change management roles in many successful continuous improvement programs at Logan, leveraging his lean six sigma, agile project management, and advanced analytics skills.

His most recent work at Logan has involved leading the company’s Smart Industry/I4.0 initiative, bridging Operations and Information Technology. Vijay brings more than 30 years of international experience in various management and information technology experiences to his work with MI2. He previously worked in India, Malaysia, Philippines, and the United States, with business activities in many other countries as well.
