We’re gearing up for the inaugural Kentucky Industry Conference, a collaboration among GAME Change, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM), and the Metals Innovation Initiative. Set for October 29-30, 2024, in Louisville, KY, at the Marriott Downtown, this conference will bring together manufacturing industry leaders, tech and value provider companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, and strategic partner organizations to discuss some of the biggest opportunities and challenges for U.S. manufacturing and supply chain.

While we work on our plans for the conference, for those keen on getting ahead, the pre-registration link can be found here as well. And, if you are especially keen to plan ahead, we are excited to announce as well that hotel registration is now open for our conference room block!

This collaborative conference seeks to address the pivotal challenges and explore the myriad opportunities within the manufacturing landscape. From workforce dynamics to sustainability initiatives, the quest for innovative energy solutions, and the relentless march of technological advancements, the 2024 Kentucky Industry Conference will delve into topics that unite us all.

This convergence of minds--facilitated by the combined expertise and resources of the GAME Change, KAM, and MI2 communities--transcends the conventional boundaries of industry events. It serves as the ground for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation that will bring together manufacturing leaders in the region and around the U.S.

Save the date, spread the word, and join us! We eagerly anticipate welcoming you all to Louisville.

A little about our partners in this first-of-its-kind conference:

GAME Change is the Generate Advanced Manufacturing Excellence for Change, created by the research, education, economic development, industrial, and manufacturing leaders of the Southeastern Commerce Corridor (SCC) of Kentucky and Tennessee, funded by a US National Science Foundation Engine Development Award to establish a diverse innovation and talent development hub that secures U.S. competitiveness in Next-Generation Manufacturing and supply chain logistics, support closed-cycle manufacturing to reduce waste, and increase efficiencies for self-sustaining economic growth. GAME Change leadership includes four R1 universities and a wide range of other partners across Kentucky and Tennessee.

The Kentucky Association of Manufacturers is dedicated to promoting and growing manufacturing in the Commonwealth. Established in 1911, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM) is Kentucky’s most effective advocate for manufacturers. KAM’s mission is to protect and create a manufacturing-friendly environment in Kentucky.

And, for those who may be unfamiliar with our work, the Metals Innovation Initiative (MI2) is a Kentucky-based nonprofit that provides collaborative, industry-led executive leadership to attract and promote advanced research, sustainability, commercialization, and talent development in Kentucky’s metals industry—and, ultimately, for Kentucky to be seen as the preeminent destination for metals innovation.
