Leader Showcase: MI2 CEO Venkata “Vijay” Kamineni Named a GLI Advanced Logistics and Manufacturing Fellow

As announced in last month’s MI2 newsletter, Metals Innovation Initiative CEO Venkata “Vijay” Kamineni was named as one of the inaugural Advanced Logistics and Manufacturing Fellows for Greater Louisville, Inc. (GLI), as part of the 2023 cohort of fellows.

Kamineni is a highly accomplished and respected figure in the field of advanced manufacturing and logistics, as well as a dedicated community leader. He has served Logan Aluminum as their Chief Innovation and Technology Leader for the past several years, where he was responsible for expanding the company's product line and developing new markets.

Now, as CEO of the Metals Innovation Initiative (MI2), Kamineni brings a wealth of experience to the nonprofit’s mission to bring Kentucky’s innovation ecosystem together to make Kentucky the destination for metals innovation.

Kamineni's commitment to advancing the field of advanced manufacturing and logistics is further demonstrated by his selection as a participant in GLI's Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics Fellows program. This prestigious program is designed to help emerging industry leaders like Kamineni expand their leadership capacity, improve their business acumen, and learn about new developments in the industry.

Over the course of the program, Kamineni will have the opportunity to collaborate and network with his peers and industry leaders, and learn about topics such as automation, e-commerce, and aerospace.
