The TPM®️ Metals Collaborative is a partnership between the Kentucky Chamber Foundation and MI2. This collaborative effort aims to redefine the future of the metals industry by assembling a cohort of visionary leaders and partners focused on a stronger and more comprehensive approach to building talent pipelines in the metals industry.

The seeds of this initiative were planted several months ago when conversations began, echoing a shared concern for the talent strategy in high-demand, high-skill positions within the Kentucky metals sector. Our roster of MI2 members and employers joining the collaborative has grown, reflecting a growing acknowledgment of the critical need for collective action. If you are interested in participating in this or future MI2 TPM cohorts, let us know by registering here.

The goal is clear—to forge a stronger and more comprehensive approach to talent pipeline development within the metals industry. This endeavor extends beyond individual company prosperity; it is a commitment to fortifying Kentucky's economic stability and fostering growth in the years to come.

Scheduled for a virtual meeting on January 31, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. EST, the inaugural meeting of the TPM®️ Metals Collaborative is set. The meeting is scheduled to cover the following:

  1. Reviewing the TPM Process: Delving into the proven Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) process, participants will gain insights into its adaptability to the unique challenges of the metals industry.
  2. Exploring & Brainstorming Long and Short-Term Strategies: A collective brainstorming session will begin conversations around innovative, game-changing strategies that promise to leave a lasting imprint on talent pipeline development.
  3. Engage in a High-Level Discussion on the Most Important Positions and Acute Talent Pain Points: Engaging in discourse on the most pivotal positions within the industry will unravel acute talent pain points and will pave the way for targeted, effective solutions.

The collaborative spirit extends beyond rhetoric. Participants are urged to mark their calendars and secure their spots for this event. The kickoff on January 31st promises not just an exchange of ideas but a commitment to action.
